LESSON LIFESAVER Activity

OBEDIENCE Fishes and Wishes to Obey obedience game

OBJECTIVE. Strengthen each child’s desire to obey Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and to obey his or her parents.

TO MAKE. Print activity for each child. Make the fishing pole by tying and taping a string to the end of a wooden craft stick. Attach a paperclip at the other end of the string. NOTE: If coloring images, don’t color over fish words, just the edge of fish or color with pastel markers.

ACTIVITY:

Go fish*, with one or two sets of fish, helping children fish to find fun ways to obey. Talk about actions as they throw a string (with a paperclip attached) over a chair to find a fish. Tell children that Heavenly Father wants us to obey. Let’s get some fishes to find out the wishes.

*To Fish. Hook a paperclip to the end of the fishing pole. The child can cast his/her pole over a chair. Place fish on the paperclip to pull back. Read and do the action with the children.

THOUGHT TREAT Fish crackers or gummy fish.
