JESUS LOVES ME: Count-the-Ways Spotlight book

OBJECTIVE:
Help children understand that Jesus Christ loves each one of them. With this book, they can count-the-ways as each page spotlights what Jesus did to show His love for us.

TO MAKE: Print or copy activity. Assemble and bend the tab at the top and glue or staple pages together.

THOUGHT TREAT  New Beginning basket. Make a Rice Krispies Treat Easter basket using a small bowl as a mold (recipe on the box of Kellogg’s cereal). Or make a nest using bread dough. Place green-colored coconut grass in the bottom. Place small chocolate or Jelly Bean eggs on top. Perhaps have a small vase with spring flowers on display too.

Explain to the children that baby birds come from eggs. They are hatched in the springtime. Baby lambs and other animals are born in the spring. Green grass and flowers begin to appear.  As nature awakens with new life, we can remember the resurrection of Jesus, and how He loves us.

Enjoy the treat as you discuss ways Jesus shows His love for us.
