This BUNDLE is to give youth leaders many activities to teach the above theme for the bi-weekly lesson.
Look for these activity handouts to help you teach lesson concepts and give them TEACHING TOOLS to plan and develop lesson objectives. These lesson-match interactive activities will add to and enhance your lessons.
LESSON-MATCH ACTIVITIES IN THIS BUNDLE INCLUDES (detailed below):
DESCRIPTIONS of Lesson-Match Activities (in the bundle shown above):
ACTIVITY 1
YOUTH GOAL PLANNER. TAKE UPON THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST. Youth can listen carefully to the sacrament prayers and record on the planner what it means to take upon the name of Jesus Christ. The planner reminds them to do something each day to keep their baptismal covenants and record things they did to follow Jesus.
ACTIVITY 2
POST-AND-PRESENT ACTIVITY. GIFTS FROM JESUS think-and-tell. Youth can learn about the gifts from Jesus and say how they are blessings. For example, as they draw a GIFT and read the scripture, e.g. “Whoso believeth in me, and is baptized … shall be saved” (3 Nephi 11:33). Then they might respond by saying the BLESSING, “By keeping my baptismal promises I can live with Jesus and Heavenly Father again someday.” Great discussion activity.
ACTIVITY 3
POST-AND-PRESENT ACTIVITY. GUESS WHO WAS SAVED BY THE SAVIOR? Youth will learn the Book of Mormon stories of Enos, Alma the Younger, Zeezrom, King Lamoni’s father, and the man brought to Jesus. This will give them hope that they too can be saved because of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
ACTIVITY 4
YOUTH GOAL ACTIVITY. GIFTS OF SERVICE planner. Youth are instructed to not get “wrapped up in themselves,” to give service to FAMILY, FRIENDS, and individuals at CHURCH. Youth leaders can use this to plan in bishopric meetings. Youth can use it to brainstorm ideas, use it as a checklist, and a list of youth goals to aid the ward/branch and community needs.
